For such an 'irrelevant' club you don't half go to some number crunching to try to make a point.

You've obviously come up with a formula for this drivel so take it back to the beginning of the Prem or further and we'll have another look.
Don't forget to rejig the formula for the time you were 2 Divisions below us, that must be worth a few bonus points to us

I've just come up with a formula to figure out how many times City have been Champions of Europe.
Guess how long it took me and what the answers is?

According to latest reports the berties will be barred from playing in the C L next season due to alleged financial irregularities running into millions .

Cue more bitter posts from noyears and his cohorts.

In the 1998/99 season, one club finished 205 points (spread over 3 Divisions) behind the Premier League Champions.
That's 205 points in ONE SEASON.
A big orange for the first person to name the two clubs?

I still get the same 'thrill' everytime you go out of your way to let me know that you're 'ignoring' me that I did the very first time

Thats precisely the reason why they are know as bitter berties chatty.

And another season ends with the berties not in a C L final .It was ever thus .

I take it they are banging on about ancient 'istree again LG in a vain attempt to remain relevant.

They really have replaced Liverpool!

0years as sure as night follows day,but then again looking fowards all they can see is doom and despair..so they sit there thumb in mouth thinking of long gone happier times

Posted by: chatty (6600)  Report abuse
Quite right grimshaw, the grubbing cheaters have been caught sponsoring themselves again.
A journalist has just been on the radio and reckons they have been spending 140 Million per season more than they are truly generating!

Yes he inherited a defence that in the main has seen 3 managers off since Fergie, give the lad time to clear out the dead legs and get his own players in and we can judge him.
You forget to mention he got United as far in the Champions League than the manager you brought in to win YOUR HOLY GRAIL has done in 3 seasons

yoonited conceded 54 goals this season - their most ever in a single Premier League campaign.

Not only that but it is their most in a league season since 1978-79 when they conceded 63 times.

The answer was 45.
Thats 45 PLACES not points
It was 1998/1999 by the way!

66 points is yoonited's joint second-worst in Premier League history - tying with their 2015-16 campaign when they finished fifth under Van Gaal.

The only season worse than either of those is the 2013-14 season with David Moyes when they ended up seventh with 64 points.

yoonited were as close to the relegation zone as they were to THE CHAMPIONS.

There was a gap of 32 points between THE CHAMPIONS (98 points) and United (66 points) - the same points differential between yoonited and relegated Cardiff in 18th (34 points).

Don't mind a sing song miself

Oh what a sight.

Shut down stadium on a Wednesday night.

Got banned for Europe for cooking the books because they can't sustain themselves cause their support is sh###.

What a feeling what a night

consider it an away win, feel free to tell me I'm 'ignored'

"_____________________________________________consider it drawn, you can now have the last word."

Although I gave you the last word, and after drawing a line under the highlighting of yoonited's AWFUL season, I couldn't help but mention the sheer desperation of shouting about the launch of a kit in homage to ancient istree.

Nothing to shout about today so they shout about a time when they were relevant in the hope that we still think they are.

At least THE CHAMPIONS were discrete about their nod.

Posted by: chatty (6600)  Report abuse
Deary me:
Last word.... can't help yourself....draw a line(not quite)

Turns out they all apply to you then

Yes unfortunately self sustaining clubs find they have to push merchandise amongst other things to fill the coffers.
Then we get other clubs cooking the books and sponsoring themselves which helps them to overspend to the tune of 140 Million per season.
The 'champions' were very 'discrete' about that, but fortunately the truth is out!

I smell rather large brown envelopes re the berties financial wrongdoings chatty .

Woudnt be at all surprised if its a brush under the carpet job .

Posted by: chatty (6600)  Report abuse
No I think the authorities have finally had enough of the grubbing cheaters grimshaw.
There's talk of a 12 month ban at least.
Then again you're probably right, they'll buy themselves out of it.

You have to laugh at 'Pol Pot' though trying to airbrush history by not wanting a club to honour a remarkable achievement, he'd give his right arm for the football calendar to start in 2008.

Posted by: grimshaw (1626)  Report abuse
Chatty..

Posted by: grimshaw (1626)  Report abuse
You would have thought the Berties would have been a little more circumspect in financial matters given they were fined millions a few years back for dodgy financial stuff ..

And here we are again with the prospect of being kicked out of euro comps due to alleged financial wrongdoing .
Mind you they will always be in the shadow of utd given the berties abysmal record in europe.
