Rugby League...

As the PL opens its doors once again this Friday night, what's in store for the oval ball league game?
You cannot compare the two anymore, that goes without saying, but as the future dawns for the lucky twenty teams of the finest league in the universe, the sun is setting rapidly on rugby league.
My suggestions and ideas on how to solve RL's massive problems are well documented on here, however, the people running it continue to take it to the gallows.
Shaun Edwards must be 'keen on' taking charge of Wigan; and he must be getting a backhander from someone. But not even he can save it from certain bankruptcy when Sky inevitably pull the plug.

...And the 'Toronto' thing makes it an even bigger laughing stock.
What a farce.

If things go drastically wrong in the middle eights Super League could lose teams like Leeds, Hull KR, Widnes or Salford for a long time with one up one down planned for next season, with Toronto, Toulouse and London joining Catalan in the top flight. No way back for teams with history like Halifax and Featherstone also.

I like you enjoyed the golden days of rugby but sadly rugby teams are like pubs. Use them or lose them. The Halifax, Featherstone, Bramleys etc. are lacking support. Why this is I don't know. Bad marketing, no success, bad club management, bad management by RL or simply the game losing a big fan base and those that do want to watch it will travel slightly further to watch the better teams. Lets be honest you could be on 90% of the Lancashire clubs (as was) in less than an hour so why watch Rochdale if you can be at Saints etc. in an hour.
