Can someone tell me what this 2-4-2 tank loco is.

Hi CINDY ...
I have got a model similar looking to yours.
Mine is a 0-4-4 side tank engine, it was evidently made by my grandfather in Orrell in 1908 !
The gauge is 3 and a quarter inches - I have never seen it 'working' but my father told me that when he was a lad (early 1920s) it used to pull a little trolley with 2 or 3 kids on it.
It does have methylated spirit burners - gauges etc.
I have it with me here in New Zealand and I have displayed it as a static display, were it creates a lot of interest.
