I seem to remember two in competition when Wigan fair came to town and took over the market square.
anybody recall who they were and how they managed to make a living from it.

just discovered they are available at the excellent Tasty Bite in the excellent Royal Arcade. Excellent they are too even at 90p a portion.
Think they were less than a tanner at the fair.

cheaper than an edwards pie.more nourishing and they stay with you for hours after. Not a bad 90p worth lampwick
