Hi Kathy17:

I worked for Gibson, Russell & Adler from 1965 up until 1972 when I got married and moved to Germany. I believe Mr Adler is still alive and well, although he will be in his 90s by now.

I was Mr Adler's secretary, so perhaps you took over from me when I left.

Mr Russell lived in Parbold and was scout master at WGS mid fifties.

Thanks Orrellite. Mr Russell had died before I started to work there, but one of the other secretaries with whom I worked, worked for him. Her name was Marie Hendry, but she also died many years ago now. I think she worked there for something like 30 years, or so.

Oh my goodness yes. I do remember you now. In fact, I have a photo of us both together taken near the Parish Church. Remind me which show we went to though as I don't remember that. Blimey, that was over 50 years ago.

I’m not sure of the show. I believe it was a scary one. Never did like them. Do you keep in touch with any other people from then?

Hi Kathy. I don't want to say too much over the internet but I'd love to have a catch up with you. Would you be prepared for me to request your email address from Admin then I can tell you more? Don't put it on here though.

Poppycock !!!!

In the 1980's Gibson, Russell and Adler of 26 King Street, Wigan, was owned by a solicitor, a Mr Heyes, he was the boss and in 1989 he closed the practice and he went working for local Government ....

Tommy, we're not talking about the 1980s. I repeat, I worked there from 1965 to 1972. So sorry your Mr Heyes did a rubbish job for you, but he was obviously there long after Kathy and I left. Your association with that solicitor was 15 years later. I don't understand why you would be so dismissive of Kathy and my memories of back then. We weren't there in the 1980s.
