Alberts

I heared that it is Ryan Giggs who has opened Alberts. Don,t know how true it is.

I don't think so. He owns Georges, in Worsley and there's another Albert's on the East Lancs, which he doesn't own either! Ramsbottom family own Albert's chain, including the one in Standish!!

PS: I'd sooner eat fish, chips and sloppy peys!

PPS: Or an Indian!!

I will try it sometime I believe it's expensive to have a meal.

It's very nice Ann-spam you must try it,we went at lunch time & sat in the sunshine,felt like we were on holiday abroad

Its excellent we went Saturday night and I had the fish chips mushy peas and a slice of bread, yummy couldn't eat it all there was that much, grandkids finished it of for me. Batter done perfect. I enjoy noise and atmosphere if you want somewhere quite it's not for you.

Aussie, there's a Chippie near us that sells Hollands puddings, chips and mushy peas and they are delicious. I try to go once a week, mainly for my husband.

Aussie94, I've no doubt that next time MarieM goes to the chippy for a Holland's Pudding, Chips and Peas (with a bit of gravy on) she's going to take it's picture and put it on here for you to drool over!

they do a mince beef pudding ,not for me, it does not come close to steak and kidney.mopping the pudding gravy up with a slice of nice fresh crusty bread.heaven.
