The same person I mentioned on the Scampton thread has visited on a number of occasions when returning from Australia. Granted, not toured but not heard anything bad said.

Sounds a good trip Roy. A lot squeezed in with a great variety of experiences. Enjoy but don't wear yourself out with the Llangollen walk.

I spend a lot of time in Asia, one of my sons lives in Japan and has done for over 20 years.Viet Nam is lovely, wonderful food and nice people.I sailed along the Mekong and went through some of the rain forests meeting people who live in the area.Watch out for the bikes and motor bikes in the city though.

Never really thought about visiting there but since your post I have read quite a bit about the area and it looks a great place to visit. I am sure you will enjoy it. I have a couple of ex work colleagues lives next door in Thailand and they seem to enjoy it. Look forward to hearing about the trip.
