Packet House, Wallgate.
Started by: gaffer (6017)   Report abuse

Using the Wigan World old streets location and this larger scale map the Packet House was located on the corner of Caroline Street.
Queen Street was located adjacent to number 67 Wallgate, Fisher's Yard adjacent to 73 Wallgate and Farrimond's row number 83. The Packet House was number 85.
Sorry for the mistake in the album.

Maureen, where ever did the name Willgoose Lane come from.

Marie I believe it was named after a Wilgoose family who owned business
in Wigan in the early 19th century and also owned land.
