Does anyone know the name of the bricked pit shaft adjacent to top lock.Did it belong to Woodshaw colliery.Joe obrien. New Zealand

It would probably be one of the shafts of Kirkless Hall colliery. There were dozens of them in that area. The two closest to Top Lock were just two of them and don't seem to have names attached to them on my map.

Thanks for that info,the number of pitshafts have always interested me from being a kid there.Are there pics of these pitshafts ? . Joe N.Z
