Wigan station photos: NRM

Came across a couple of rather interesting photos on the National Railway Museum site:


Not sure which Wigan station it is referring to, but dosent look much like Wallgate or North western, though it says "looking towards Liverpool", and in another photo it says "looking towards Liverpool and Southport". Unless this is Central Station.

Looks like Wallgate to me. Stone wall is still there, over the top of the sheds is a faint image of Coops building.

that's wallgate before the canopy that covered the bay platform was taken down.
