Interesting aerial photos
Started by: ashtonman01 (142) Report abuse
Came across this site called Britain From Above:

Lots of aerial photos of Wigan and surrounding areas which Ive never seen before; some construction of the East Lancs rd in the 1930s. Plenty of open spaces to be seen before the overcrowding.

Can anyone positively identify this Ariel. The toddler is me, the bike is my dad's photo taken about 1941/2. It is definitely an Ariel and could be a square four but I am erring towards a red hunter.

Anne. That stand, sticking out behind the back wheel, makes it look like a Square Four.

tonker.... as the number plate is so obvious it's a pity it can't be traced by that. I remember because of petrol rationing it was dismantled and put in a spare bedroom. I delighted playing withe bits.
