I got some old maps from the museum. I got one for lamberhead Green 1907. I couldn't get other Pem ones as they'd run out but they might have restocked since I was there in July.

Hi GB

This is a good site for old maps, link and you can order them if you wish. This one that covers the area you are looking for, I've zoomed in on the area you mentioned. The full map is much bigger. Hope it helps

A while ago someone posted an older ( 1800s ) map of the same area as Gaffers in the 1st post.
On that map Kitt Green was called " Kitt Green City " , even
on this 1934 version , near top of what would later become Marsh Green estate , there is a City Farm .
Anyone got any ideas why it was so called ?

It's Orrell City. THIS is the map you refer to.

You are right Tonker , NOT Kitt Green City but Orrell City .
