plantations

Just been through Haigh Hall plantations ,much better now that clearance work is well underway and maybe now we will see a long overdue regeneration of what could be a great asset to Wigan.

I totally agree with you! Me and my school-friends spent a great deal of our childhood playing about in the Plantations. We tended to ignore Haigh Hall as it wasn't exciting enough to us (as kids)!

Even in my later years, the Plantations has always remained outstanding and attractive in my mind. Up until a few years ago (and a few health problems) I cycled through there on a regular basis. I really do hope that we will see a long overdue regeneration of what could be a great asset to Wigan. Thanks and God Bless. johnboy ... (EZRA 10:4).
