who remembers the green waters

and the blue waters it just aint the same now use to spend hours there as a kid..

Blue waters Levi, you've got me there me old mate green waters yes go past the new one regularly but the only blue water I know of is the blue lagoon at Belmont, so please enlighten me as to were that is.

Was it the Blue waters over the three sisters at Bryn past No3 & golf links we all had names for deferent waters, (if yes me to)water clear has a bell,one for you ferdy

hi there refering to the greenwater's ! the one i remember when i was a kid had a railway line running through the center. the other side of the line was the G C cos we used to swim in the GC as it was crystal clear 'we were told that a train derailed and deposited lime or something like that which made the water clear dont know if this is true or not.also some people used to call it rainer lodge

I also remember the Blue waters about 8 or 9 of us from STUBSHAW CROSS went down there one day with a bloke who was going to learn how to swim with me being a bit of a dare devil i started to walk out into the pond and when i got about 20 feet in i went down like a brick no one told me that there was a sheer drop that far out never been in water since.

I remember my late father working on the railway tipping coal on to narrow boats, and before he came home after his shift he would catch snigs bring them home and my mother would cook them what a supper.
