ROYLEW: Have heard it could be lined up to be made into flats! Would be sad if that were the case there are far too many pubs going to the wall. What i care about may seem daft ,but in years to come when this generation stops acting daft up King st, at weekends and they get older ,just where are they going to go out for a pint???
The mind boggles.

No brainer stop in and sup ale in the comfort of your home £4 for 4 pints or find a pub Taxi there and back or go by bus not many within walking distance and pay £2.50/£3.50 a pint. Rose wine approx £3 a glass in the pub starting price from off licence £3.50 a bottle for the same wine=3 glasses for the price of 1 in the pub. No wonder they are all shutting.

Maths correct but socially wise a disaster...started with the smoking ban as well...you only have to take in the atmosphere of bars in say Barcelona where they don't ban smoking

Roylew glad they fetched the smoking ban in best thing since sliced bread. I used to smoke and has the advert says you smell like an ash tray. Most people who I know who smoke and drink still turn out for a pint and a smoke and are not put off by going into a smoking area or outside. Now I am older and wiser I am glad my local even bans E-cigs inside god knows what s**t is coming out of these things

Health wise it's good...I never smoked...well I had one once and burned a hole in the sofa...I was just saying it was the start of the demise of the pub...along with cheap booze from supermarkets....by the way I think supermarkets as good as they are can be be blamed for a lot of bad things regarding health...although I know it's down to choice of the individual
