An article about My Life's model railway in the Wigan Observer (Feb):
Standish station is reopening ... but in miniature! An amazing public model railway project growing inside a poly tunnel has opened at the My Life charity at Thompson House Equestrian Centre. The huge 30 foot long layout - officially named Standish Junction - will have a natural growing landscaping.

Just to give this another bump for a bit of exposure as there is only a week to go.
Are there any updates worth posting, eg: how many cars are booked in, how many stalls are there, anything else worth mentioning?

I don't know those details, 0 Years, but here's a bit more information from Facebook:
There'll be vintage cars, model aeroplanes, a fun fair, hot food & drinks, craft stalls, rickshaw, penny farthing experience, carriage rides & much more!
It's £2 per person and children under 18 get in free.

Hello Jo anne,
A friend has asked me if dogs are allowed, any idea?
Thanks
Replied: 12th Mar 2016 at 22:35
I don't think they will be, 0 Years, but your friend could call them on 01257 472900 to make sure.
Replied: 13th Mar 2016 at 09:35
Thanks Jo anne, you are probably right but I will tell him to call.

Dogs on leads are allowed, 0 Years, we're just back from the event & had a really nice time there.
Replied: 13th Mar 2016 at 13:55
Hello Jo anne, we have just got back too, in fact we ended up parking in the exhibitors area along with a couple of friends who brought along their cars too (one from North Wales)!
It was a really good event and if anyone is doing nothing for the next couple of hours it is well worth a visit as it only closes at four.
Thanks for posting this Jo anne.

parking in the exhibitors area In pride of place then, 0 Years! I'm intrigued as to which car was yours now, there were some very beautiful vehicles on display.
Did you take your camera, Arrow? Certainly a lot of interesting photo opportunities.

It was a "two tone" car Jo anne and parked on the left at the entrance to the vintage car area in between a green sports car and a big yellow American pick up truck.
Hopefully they will hold this again next year.

I remember a brown & cream car, 0 Years, was that the one?
Was it one of the cars with leather belts fastened across their bonnets - I've never noticed that before.
Replied: 13th Mar 2016 at 17:58
That's the one, it has a bonnet belt but the brown is maroon. The green one was a friend who came up from North Wales just for the event.
Coincidentally I ended up pushing that big yellow truck at a petrol station earlier in the morning when it broke down as I was filling up. I'd never seen it before and met it twice in the space of an hour. That took some shifting I can tell you.

I can imagine, 0 Years, it had a lot of character & was some size!
I was very impressed by both cars, 0 Years, they're wonderful, so glad you & your friend displayed them there today. I didn't expect to enjoy the exhibition so much, I'd happily go along again if it does happen next year too.

Yes Jo Anne I took my camera. Did anyone have a go on the penny farthing bike?
Replied: 13th Mar 2016 at 19:41
Great photos, as always, Arrow, thanks for sharing them.
I didn't dare have a go on the penny farthing. I did see someone pose on it for a photo, whilst it was propped up, but don't know if he risked a ride though.

Great pics Arrow.
I for one wasn't brave enough to try the penny farthing!
Replied: 13th Mar 2016 at 20:11
Love that old Austin.
Replied: 13th Mar 2016 at 21:11
Thanks. I didn't have a go on the penny farthing either. There were three of those little Austins together. Those old tractors weren't just for show, they used one of them to tow the ice cream van off the grass when it got stuck
