Chicken ham & beef (I usually get the offer where you get 3 toppings on a pizza incase you think i'm strange! Lol)
The guy in the pizza shop knows its me now when i phone and ask for the £9.90 meal deal please!!! he usually tells me my address and telephone number instead of me telling him haha.

Mine is ham, pineapple, mushrooms, prawns and cheese, and preferably like to make my own, that includes the base and the sauce. "What's Tooheys?" you ask kb,well it's a brown liquid that pretends to be beer, usually consumed in large quantities by those with limited taste. It is a bit of a coincidence that you have KB,(another well known brew in NSW) as part of your username, because that used to be my favourite tipple many years ago until I refined my tastes, now when I have a beer it is usually Hahn Premium Light, yet another local brew.

You mustn't believe all you hear about the ACT,particularly Canberra, especially from homesick pollies.I've lived here since 1967 and it was,and probably still is,a good place to bring up children, severe weather conditions are rare,it can get hot in summer considering our altitude.I acknowledge that the nearest beach is a two hour drive away, but sand and surf isn't everything, and while I do enjoy my occasional trips to the coast I'm just as happy driving out into bush. And neither would I wash my car with Hahn Light,my pension isn't big enough to waste money like that but my choice is determined to some extent my GP's advice.

Am joshin ya Roy, have been down to Canberra many times on courses at the Fed/Pol college in Barton, had a few ales in the Henry ?? at Kingston and had one of the best Indians ever at the Jewel of India Mannuka (might have spelt that wrong) had a few good nights in the Canberra Inn as well. Have you tried that Pure-Blonde yet, low carb beer, bit of a kick to it though at 4.6% Next time I'm in Canberra I shout you a couple. Regards.

Just one "N" too many,Flock,it actually should be pronounced Mah-noo-ka,as they do in Kiwi land because I think it is the name of a NZ bird, but the heap big white queen lady who came on big silver bird, pronounced it Ma-na-ka and of course the forelock tuggers followed suit. When I first came to Canberra in '67 I had one or two at the Wello but they knocked that down and it's now the Ridgeway. There's a few good watering holes I used to visit that have now gone, the clubs are allright but they have got me on to a new addiction, the pokies. There's a place in town called "The Wig & Pen" where they serve all kinds of boutique beers, two of my sons took me there once and I tried a small one of the blonde(the beer that is) but as I was driving that was about it,of course that's why they took me.My eldest son thinks he's a connoisseur of ales and beers but basically he's just a pisspot, anyway let me know when you are in town and I may take you up on your offer.

Pure-Blonde? ... A 'Kick' to it? ... at 4.6% it's only just 'not' a shandy!

Biggest disappointment of my life. First time I went to Oz, after 24hrs travel and a throat as dry as a Kiwis' bath towel I was looking forward to a genuine Aussie beer. My mate gives me a Hahn Light, well it was cold and wet end of story. I found some good Aussie beers since. I like VB and Emu Bitter hahn do one thats Ok Carlton Mid strenght is Ok for watching the footie at Subiaco.

Considering all Bitter in the UK is around 3.8% and Mild even less, beer with an alcohol percentage of 4.6% per volume is considered full strength beer, and 375mls of it will put you over the legal driving limited. I would like to know what you make your shandy with tonker, Carlsberg Elephant Beer (8%)

In 1989 I took quick trip to UK after 23years of living in Oz and discovered I could buy Aussie beer like Fosters and Castlemaine XXXX but I must admit I was disappointed,so much so that in one bar I ordered a pint of XXX.The barman looked at me with confusion,so I said to him that if they'd served that back home they would been out of business.Even then he wasn't quite sure but then I realised it wasn't known as XXXX,just Castlemaine. On the strength of beers,I wonder if they still sell Old Tom and other strong beers at Christmas in England,I remember they had quite a kick.

Has any of you tried 'Voll Damm'? It's a Spanish beer and is a really good drink, it's not as strong as Spesh but it's 7.2%. That'll give you a kick. It's .58 euro a can, that's about 41p here. Cheap as chips!
