The house is in Grizedale Drive. i have seen a pic on here, it looks ok but you never know do you.I need to know if there are good transport links, especially at night to wigan and the college.also it would be usefull to know if the shops are close by
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

ince central is a good school ,well i think so anyway thats only a short walk away from grizedale drive too
or if ur catholic then st williams is right next door to ince central both close to a few shops and post office and bank too

ince central is quite a big school but a very good one. my kids have both done well / one is moving up to high school this time the other has 2 years left.it has a large playing field a brilliant new nursery department and ive never had any problems with the teachers
st catherines is a smaller school but further away so a longer walk when its raining or if ur gonna be late in the mornings (like me) if u go down to the school the head teacher will take you for a tour round the classes see some of the children doing their work etc etc

getwom, the proper name for the school is
ince c e primary but round ince everyone knows it as ince central so im so used to saying that sorry to confuse you

what it all boils down to is that there are only 2 schools in Ince, one is Church of England and the other is Catholic namely, Ince C of E and St Williams both are good schools in their own areas, the trouble starts when they go to the next educational upgrade which is in your own hands, your choice as to what, and where, you want to go and thereby starts the lottery.

Woooo hangon a minute, there is Britannia Bridge in Lower Ince. Always forgot about - really good school, but probably too far to travel.

Molemum - if you drive Britannia Bridge is probably nearer to you than St Catherines.
Mandie - How could you forget us!

hi there the schools are really easy to find from grizedale drive, straight down the road thru the estate and across the main road easy peasy...if you get lost we are all dead friendly round here so you only need to ask and someone will point you in the right direction...

Last time i caught a bus that went through ince was back in about 1977/78, it was the 603 or the 606, i think the 606 went through the estate, probably changed many years ago now but isn`t it weird how some things like bus numbers stick in your mind for all those years, but it took me a year to learn my mobile number...

Hi Sarah
The bus you need is the 593 from Wigan Bus Station. It actually goes round the estate at Higher Ince. As for shops there are loads - morrisons is on the edge of the estate and in Wigan you have got Lidl, frozen food shops, tesco and loads more. You'll have to have a wander around, there are so many.
Keily - I remember it being the 603 or 606.

hi sarah if you catch the 574 bus from near to the information desk at the bus station it will bring you up from wigan the only problem is it goes round lower ince first , but the good thing is if you ask the driver to let you get off at the bottom end of kendal road near the new houses. as you get off the bus the new houses are across the road there are only 2 streets and 1 of them is grizedale drive hope you like it

I havent said anything up till now, but you could do a lot worse than move to Ince, I was born here 67 years ago, seen the biggest part of the country with my job as a lorry driver, moved away once could not wait to get back and have yet to meet a more friendlier set of people anywhere in the country. I went to Ince central as did both my daughters and although they have moved they dont forget their roots, and me and the only time they will move me out of Ince will be in a box and even then I will stay in Ince, nuff said.

Aitch, you are a native of Ince and so you will like it. Would you recommend that this young woman come to live here from Southport?
Replied: 25th May 2006 at 00:18

well i went to see the house today and the area seemed nice. pity about the house though, it was very very small. i will still keep looking in wigan.everyone was very friendly but i did not like "the chippery" in town was very expensive for such a small portion.
