perplexing politicians
Started by: baker boy (14990) Report abuse
mr corbyn say's he is going to be carbon neutral by 2030,the way he his going to do this miracle ?.by taxing the oil industry to death.
surely if britain is carbon neutral by then there will be no need for an oil industry.
you may say we get lots of other products from oil other than fuel for vehicles ,quite true.but how is he going to utilise the now unneeded by products of oil production ie petrol and diesel, pour them down the drain.
another flawed manifesto idea from labour.

ballcock ? as i do not go into wigan very much ,principly because there,s nowt there,i wondered why a great deal of cash was being spent on block paving, far, far more then a traffic light and a metal gate.now i know its for traffic to the "new" market hall i hope its been laid to top specs as it wont last long with hgv,s running up and down it .folk remember how the bus station floor fared when it was put down.

Aye, Tommy
You know Wigan like the back of your hand. Every roadworks / routes, cycle lanes, etc but yet you didn't know Hallgate

@half baked.
Are you are telling the world that you have not been in Hallgate for almost 20 years and you live in Wigan?

Or was it just another dig at the council which backfired on you good style?

Posted by: baker boy (14990) Report abuse
a gate across an empty road just like your head ballcock .

I don't think it is a question of Geography in knowing Wigan like the back of your hand, but a question of history and I don't have a dig at the Council, and I don't remember that traffic light being there ....

But saying that I took this picture of the Crofters in June 2006 and the traffic light is there, although it appears not to be working

Posted by: Tommy Two Stroke (3930) Report abuse
And that is what it looks like now in 2019

Posted by: Tommy Two Stroke (3930) Report abuse
No traffic light there today

Posted by: Salmon & Ball (464)  Report abuse
No gates there either like there was in 2000.
Plus Singers has also gone

Posted by: Tommy Two Stroke (3930) Report abuse

Posted by: Tommy Two Stroke (3930) Report abuse
