I agree with you Aussie. I always found Lennon to be a fake with all his peace and hippy stuff, he wasn't a nice man in reality. loved the Beatles though.

He had very serious psychological problems you know and he took it out on females (yes just like Best but worse) even from his early days in Liverpool. It was his son Julian who was his his greatest victim, Julian said that Paul McCartney was more of a dad to him than John.

up with him ,he jumped on the train ..didn't even wave goodbye, she said
she knew then it was over..how cowardly was that.

"After he divorced Cynthia, Lennon took off with Yoko Ono and dropped out of his son’s life for years. After they reconnected, Lennon severely emotionally abused his son on several occasions, berating and screaming at him until the boy was reduced to tears. Once, Julian giggled and Lennon shouted back, “I hate the way you f*****g laugh!” Julian was not yet a teenager at the time."

I don't think the drugs helped, Nanajacqui. He certainly wasn't the working class hero he sang about and portrayed himself to be either, brought up in a middle class home with his aunt.

It's funny how many of these very talented people have serious flaws in their make up.

i feel john lennon was a very twisted and confused individual,no doubt brought on by his childhood experiences.
he could have spent all his cash on making peoples lives better, rather than telling us all what we should be doing.

He spent a lot of his cash on donations to the Black Panthers to buy guns, some hippy full of love and peace. Lennon did things that made him look better than he actually was, he embellished a lot of his life story. You can't help but sing his songs though especially the Beatles ones.

Yoko what a No No. She destroyed any chance of a reunion. A woman full of her own self importance

I think it's well known that it was Lennon who finished the Beatles. He always claimed he met Yoko at an Art show but she actually stalked him for a long time before he picked up with her.
