Has anyone bought anything from Argos and took it back for a refund because it's not suitable for what they wanted. I bought a laptop last week but its not right for what I want. I don't want a replacement and its not faulty

www.argos.co.uk/help/returns-and-refunds/:

There are some things we can’t do returns for, such as food and some jewellery unless of course they’re faulty. Our website and catalogue clearly show which items are excluded
If the item or the packaging has been handled excessively to assess the goods we reserve the right to reduce the amount of refund to you

It is the old 'No Quibble' guarantee ....

What exactly is a 'Quibble'

my son bought a google book, he thought it was the same as a laptop but its not, so he took it back and they said, " you bought it and should have know it was't a laptop, they would not take it back because he had opened it, turned it on and entered personal information," they said under the
'data protection act' they cannot take it back,
