Hi folks, does anyone know of a good men's clothes shop in Wigan now that greenwoods has gone.

I've never been noted for fashion so I' have't a clue but I've noticed everytime I go past Primark in Standishgate there are always loads shopping in there,

Hi tomplum, primark gets quite busy I've heard good reports about the store but they don't specialise in menswear.

Try Debenhams. They cater for all ages and tastes.
Nice coffee shop at the front as well.
SUPPORT WIGAN TOWN CENTRE!

Last time I set out to buy a woollen sweater, I went to a retailer called 'The Edinburgh Woollen Mill'.
All their sweaters though, were ACRYLIC!
Did manage to get one online. Did not find one in any of shops which I tried.

Bambam,
It still says that Greenwood’s havea branch open in St. Helens which may be handy for you. It says 18 BridgeStreet. I would phone before I went to make sure. Failing that there is greenwoodsonline.

Marks and Spencer.Could not understand why Greenwoods closed We live in an obese society and most of us including myself cannot get clothes to fit Supermarkets sell clothes but most only do trousers up to 44 waist and shirts/tops to 2xl so a lot of men cannot find clothes to fit

Greenwoods in Bridge Street St Helens has closed. There is a new branch in the shopping precinct near Herons.

That's very true peterp, I am a few xls myself and greenwoods was ideal for my 42" waist and 21" neck I can't understand why it closed, the manager (terry) told me it was very busy with wedding hire and outsize shirts & trousers, very sad really I will miss that shop.

Bambam: If it isn't too far out of your way, Dickinson's Menswear in Pemberton is very good. It's a small shop, but their clothes are quality, but not over-priced. They're on Ormskirk Road and there's excellent parking behind the shops.
I haven't been down there in a long while so it might be worth ringing first to make sure they're still in business. Their number is 01942 700020.
I used to buy clothes for my partner years ago and he was an XXL.

Thanks mollie m, I will call on them I've never heard of that shop, most of stores in town centre don't cater for us bonnie lads, there is a shop in Leigh arcade at galleries called (Yours) they go to 8xl for both gents & ladies but they don't have jackets or overcoats.
