Do Wiganers still flock there in their thousands It used to be great fun and there were never as many on the coach home

I remember going on a works outing to Blackpool back in the 70s (do they still have works outings?) and missing the coach going back home.

its still ram jam packed through the lights any night of the week, My lad took his Family for a two day overnight stay just this week, He was thinking that tues/wed is off peak and things will be quiet, It turned out that there are large queues for the trams through the lights, the road is cram packed and Blackpool is BUZZING, So Yes, its still popular.

I posted 4 years ago about the lights being dated and nothing has changed We went to Fleetwood a few weeks ago and I decided to come down the coast road on the way home. Considering Millions of pounds as been spend on Blackpool it still looks dirty and still smells of burgers and candyfloss. We drove through during the daytime about 2 weeks before they were due to turn the lights on and I think about 95% of the lights are the same has 4 years agoIf you have never seen them before or have grandkids who have also never seen them then they will enjoy them But once seen then forget them for a few years

Have many good memories of the luminations.😂 I haven't been for many years, I prefer to keep the good memories rather than be disillusioned by the reality of it.
