I donít mind spiders, theyíre welcome, Iím just glad the disgusting flies have more or less gone. I must have spent a fortune on Raid this summer! Still didnít stop those daft little tiny Ďfruit fliesí mobbing my food waste caddy!

Steve you must buy one of those Tusk Top Fly Killers for the garden, you won't believe how many flies & wasps they catch, someone recommended them on here & I've got a supply in now

I keep a dish of conkers on the side - works a treat. Although mostly I don't mind them

I put dried bay leaves down everywhere, but they must need renewing.

Peppermint oil, in my oil-burner has deterred them from my bedroom.

Before I go away and especially at this time of year I spray Raid fly and wasp killer mainly in rooms where alarm sensors are. It's quite surprising how many and the various types of dead bodies are to be found especially on returning from holiday. Also Raid seems to last for several weeks, at least my neighbours don't have to come in for false alarms.

Wigan's fittest spider lives in my bath. From morning until night he tries to climb out but whenever he gets close to the top he slides back down again.

Posted by: momac (9150)  Report abuse
I-spy,drape a towel on the side of the bath, he'll climb up it then put the
poor thing outside..bet he's starving.

Posted by: i-spy (13886)  Report abuse
Did as you said momac but he's still there slipping and sliding

Posted by: momac (9150)  Report abuse
He'll find it I-spy..or just put a beaker or anything you don't drink out of over
him, then slide bit of card underneath and wallah..done.

Didn't this man invent a ladder for them to climb out with?
