I rarely watch the news these days because I'm so sick of it. what a mess it's turned out to be. I wish they'd never had the referendum.

What mess are you on about ?

They are negotiating and they (the EU) need us more than we need them and this morning in the telly, they were on about medicines we import from the EU and we import 37 million medicine items a month from the EU however we export to them 45 million medicine items a month, so whoo need whoo the most ...

It's utter crap

Trade wise in 2016 43% of our exports went to the EU the other 57% going to the rest of the world however in 2006 54% of our exports went to the EU and that is because there are more trading opportunities around the world now and that is why a lot of the leavers want to leave, because as a member of the EU we have to follow EU trade rules when trading with the rest of the world, the EU sets the trade import tariffs and that makes it expensive to buy and sell goods to none EU countries and that is what is peeing off Boris Johnson and the other hardline brexiteers, they want this country to be completely free of the EU so that it cannot interfere with us trading with the rest of the world.

The EU need us more than we need them, they want our money when we leave and they won't get it if they don't make an agreement which suits us and that is it ...

The media are having a frenzy over this the remainers are causing as much trouble as they can over it, but I will tell you this and that is that on March 30th next year on the first day after we have left the EU , yoo and that Handsomeminer will wonder notice that nothing has changed at all ...

I am sure we are all sick of hearing about it, and the way the media portray it!
The main problem I see, as a member of the public, is that those awful people "politicians" are dealing with it!
What a shower!
They got us into this mess and now cannot get us out as we wish-although time will tell.
Some of them are still thinking of their own jobs rather than serving the country!
I hope we don't get a half in and half out solution that no one wants- as per the PMs awful Chequers plan!

Tommy2S.
When I posted that politicians got us into this mess I meant the EU itself as the mess and not the current situation.(and 17million people seem to agree and want out!) Was The Common Market, a trading arrangement which seemed a good idea at the time not hijacked and turned into a political monster that is now the EU by politicians telling us how good it would be for us? We all now know how it has evolved, and hence our current situation!

Well I think it is far to early to be saying that the negotiations are in a mess, because they have only just begun and of course it is up to the politicians to negotiate it, because that is their job and the media are doing their best to ramp up the tension, by sensationalising everything ...

Did Wigan get a majority vote in favour of Brexit ?. If so should our MP be representing us in leave as directed by the resulting ballot of the area ?.
The vote was taken and in my understanding people voted to leave so our representatives should be representing our will to leave .
Or have I got this all wrong

I voted Brexit, to leave, I have never wavered from that decision, and in spite of all the ‘bother’ that has gone on over the brexiting conditions, I am still resolved, in fact MORE resolved, to the fact that it is in our country’s best interest to leave the EU.
I was adamant in my belief that we are better off running our own country rather than Brussels telling us what our fish quotas are, what our farmers can and cannot do, overruling our high court decisions, and how straight our bananas should be LOL!!!!!.
Seriously, we ran our country successfully before we joined the EU, and we can do it again.
There are various figures banded about as to our contributions to the EU, but the commonly held perception is that we pay £350 million per week.
However, that’s without the rebate, the UK actually pays closer to £250 million a week.
That’s an awful lot of dosh that could fund education, the NHS and farming subsidies.
We should get the best deal we can, and leave on the 29th March.
Herr Mercedes wants us to buy his cars, Monsieur le Frog wants us to buy his cheese and wine, and the Dutch still want to sell us their awful irradiated tomatoes.

there should have been a cross-èparty committee set up to negotiate.
MAggie May has propably the buiggest superiority complx it's been my misfortune to witness in my lifetime.
She couldn't negotiate the opening of a bag of salt in a packet of plain crisps, let alone Brexit.

It will of course all be sorted with much pomp and sherry money at 23h59 on th 29th march followd by much 'aren't we brill, we never had any doubts, codswollopè

Her biographer, said on TV recently that she is the most bloody minded, selfish, ambitious, careerist person in British politics, and she will only be removed from number 10 kicking and screaming, with her heels ploughing-up the parquet flooring.

We are actually leaving at 11.00pm on the 29th March not midnight, which I presume is something to do with the one hour time difference between the UK and Brussels
