Very smart modern design, and very well, made and well finished cordy, looks a lot stronger in construction than over the top priced one

Thanks everyone for your kind comments

This coming winter I will be trying to make a dining table
Walnut 1.75 inches approx. thick, probably 4.75 inch wide boards

Ambitious for me but I will give it a go
provisional dimensions 56 x 35 x 29 inches high
This photo shows what I have in mind; not sure of thickness and other dimensions

I will need to find out what dimensions for the underneath parts; and a suitable timber to use

Managed to complete this Oak Coffee table
The top started off as a handrail which I planed and shaped

The legs came from these old Oak planks

Legs and underside of table top
