Try one of these. I got mine, much cheaper from Aldi, but they only occasionally have them in stock. I keep one in virtually EVERY room.

The device electrocutes them, so is not a 'swatting' action, and a stealthy advance, carried out slowly achieves great success.

I have poor eyesight, and arthritic hands, but a game of 'Fly Tennis' sees me dispatch most of them, most of the time. Admittedly, a few do manage to elude me.

Also does clothes moths, wasps and other nasties.

ROUND AND ROUND IN CIRCLES IT GOES ALL DAY, BANGING IT'S HEAD IN THE WINDOW.

IT'S BEEN HERE THAT LONG I DECIDED TO NAME IT..................

Basil and flies:

Lot of web sites say it deters flies!

Problem is, just as many dealing with problems of flies on basil!

Maybe it varies with the type of fly?

My own experience:

I have a four foot long wooden trough of mature, (about 12 inches high) basil on my window sill. I cook Italian, so get through it at a rate of knots: I reseed as I harvest, to try and maintain a perpetual supply.

It seems to have no deterrent effect upon flies entering through the open window. (Usually wide open in this weather.)

True, the leaves of the basil are not peppered with holes caused by cabbage worm/ cabbage fly and the likes, as are the lettuce and similar stuff growing alongside.

The basil is starting to succumb however. Two or three holes apparent, and from experience, I know it is in the latter half of Summer that the basil gets eaten. It will be shredded by late September!

Anybody can leave a comment on album under any name they wish. It does not mean to say that the name of the person, is the actual person. You should know that?

I am not defending him. I am saying he....

1) Doesn't bother me with his antics, but I don't bother him with mine.
2) That he gives as good as he gets
3) That the people who criticise him are far from innocent themselves.
4) That he has as much right as anyone else to be here and make comment.
5) That he can easily be ignored if you so choose.

Can any of the above be argued?.....I think not.

As for the comments being made elsewhere under his name can you prove to me it's the same person, for all we know it could be you making them. It wouldn't be the first time someone had assumed another name.
