The High Street
Today, bought an item from Wilko.
Tomorrow, I shall be returning it, as it is faulty.
Do not anticipate any difficulty getting a refund. Today it was the only one on the shelf. (Replacement with a non-faulty equivalent would be my preference)
However, it will end up costing me £4 car parking, and will have consumed about two hours of my time, to get precisely nowhere. No wonder the stores are losing out to online shopping.

I don't know where you live, but why go to Wilko in Wigan when there's Wilko shops at Horwich, Leigh, Earlestown, St.Helens and Skelmersdale? And free parking is available at them all !

Tonker, even if free parking is available, there's still the fuel costs in getting there and time spent. I've only bought on line for many years now, much more choice and competition. I suppose there'll come a time when they try to add additional taxes to stuff bought on line.

Maybe tonker, but I am no longer in Wigan, or indeed the North West, and to easily carry a heavy object to car at my local Wilko, which is a city centre store, I have to use a £2 minimum charge car park. So I am really peed off that I will have to repeat same in the morning.
I guess they will not have in stock a replacement, and no way do I want yet a further visit to collect a replacement when stock arrives, so will use my refund to make an online purchase.
