Graffiti

Just read in today's paper that vandals have written obscene graffiti on the Peace Gate at Standish Church... What mentality and what morals have these people got If they are caught ( which is a BIG IF!!) they should put them in the stocks 8 hours a day for a week.
Surely there are enough business's and houses around the area that have CCTV. REINSTATE THE CAT.....

Probably the same vandals that think it funny to vandalise those life saving defibrillators that are placed around Standish.

I'm 73, so it was a long time ago when I was a child / young adult.. I know we didn't have Social Media back then, we weren't getting info 24 hrs a day as is how it is today...
That said, back then neighbours knew each other and in it's way, word got around, everyone knew if anyone had done anything wrong, bad, stupid.. never was there anything, anywhere near as bad and as often as we hear about today...
So what is the reason for it all, why, when kids have so much more than all of us growing up in the 40s, 50s 60s could ever dream of, why ????

Been looking at the photos over on The Forum of the graffiti, there are words you can clearly see, though some words probably names have been disguised with chalk lines, thankfully it is chalk that's been used and will be easily cleaned off, though respectfully the Peace Gate shouldn't have been written on with anything.

Though with the chemical cocktails in those legal highs some teenagers consume they'll probably be immune to cyanide.

Well whatever they take let's hope they over do it.
