At least there's more help available than there used to be so that's a step in the right direction .

Yes indeed there is. Why it is so prevalent these days can be seen within society. People struggling with poverty, debt, unemployment, drugs, alcoholism, homelessness, crime. And probably people with expectations that they will never be able to achieve. There is never just one reason that people become depressed.

Rich people suffer from depression.
People are born with it.

Of Course they do but not to the same extent and for different reasons, unrelated to the above that I mentioned. Oh! Forgot that you think anyone with a hidden illness is a malingerer, in fact anyone wth a genuine illness is a malingerer too. You have no credibility when it comes to empathy towards your fellow man.

Oh! And people are not born with depression, they are born with the genetic makeup to become depressed but it doesn't mean they will.

Jathbee: The life you've led - in the shadow of a pitmon, puts you in the premier league...NOT.
Enjoy your pit claim money while you can.
I'm currently enjoying my two week break.
I enjoy my life, and my kids have all done well.
Shall I send you two tickets for the Fish on New Year's Eve?
On the house, of course...

Oh! my word. You do come across as one very bitter person. Our two week break has lasted nine long years up to now. And thanks to mine and my husband's hard work, good pensions and good financial advice, we lead a very satisfactory and comfortable life thank you. Perhaps, had you been blessed with the same good fortune, you may not be beavering away at the same mundane, manual labour that is now telling a tale on your obvious lack of wellbeing. Very sad to see really.
I will decline your invitation to the Fish. I have far better fish to fry.🐟😂😂😂

I think I have had it all my life. I went through some really horrid stuff at an early age that I don't want to talk about it. Not that I am feeling sorry for myself like everyone thought I was doing I had a disease no one wanted to acknowledge and people die everyday because they have depression band feel they can't

It is a horrible condition Erin. No ones knows what torments people go through.

Wellbeing?
I need no motivation. 11 full marathons have hardened me, and I do not feign work. Never have done.
Neither will I age in the long afternoons and evenings of idleness. I believe in work hard and play hard.
I don't need any cheques or oxygen bottles.
I will retire when my times comes. And live comfortably ever after...thanks.

Doesn't bode well for a long happy retirement.
