'Our main attraction is our steam engine, the largest of its type in the world and currently nearing operation. This will be supplemented this year by the opening of our Scutching
Room which will feature our collection of textile machinery, steam driven models and other local artefacts.'

: "We are doubling our space and will soon have our own Heritage Centre as large as Wigan's History Shop. We will have many interesting historical artefacts and if you want to learn about Leigh's history come to see us over the coming weekend. It is free entry for now but we will be charging in the future."
Women's Work, a play
about the female workers at The Spinners Mill during WW1, will be on:
• Friday 8th Sept at 3pm at The Spinners Mill (invitation only)
