Most of us know about the telephone preference service. Now the Charity Commission have started their own preference service. They say you can phone up and block THREE charities from phoning youThat's no good when there are over 165,000 registered charities in the Uk

Do all 165,000 of them call you on a regular basis?

Over a year that would be 450 calls a day

Stardelta I do not get many phone calls from charities and those that I do I just hang up the phone or let it go to answer machine then delete the messages Some other people cannot put the phone down and are daft enough to part with money they cannot afford to loose or worse are driven to suicide Take the poor woman from Bristol who killed herself and when the police investigated she was being plagued with phone calls and letters running into thousands a year

We should not have to buy any equipment or pay for any call blockers for our phonesIf I get cold calls I just hang up,Same if some one comes to my door I just say I am not interested and close the door.At one time if I wanted anything I would let my fingers do the walking with the yellow pages now do it on lineHas Stardelta as said if every charity phoned you then you would get over 450 calls a day
