The glorious 29th
Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (2921)  Report abuse
Well brexiteer's we now know the date when our total freedom from those unelected BUREAUCRATS IN BRUSSELS is to be. That's why i titled it :

THE GLORIOUS 29th MARCH 2017.
Let it be registered in the halls of history of this great country.

Posted by: roylew (2339) Report abuse
Fingers crossed....a long negotiation now with the awkward ones

Posted by: britboy (6734) Report abuse
And two years of negotiation until this date in 2019, let's hope the parliamentary fools make a decent job of it....don't hold your breath!

Posted by: gideonfel (244) Report abuse
Jean-Claude Drunkard is already threatening to make things as awkward as possible so that others don't follow our example. Theresa May should tell him to stick his EU where the sun doesn't shine. The sooner we're in the lifeboats and away from that sinking ship the better.

Posted by: broady (12542)   Report abuse
I know it sounds silly but it was reported a while ago that the UK has a shortage of experienced negotiators. There will be a tremendous lot of wheeling and dealing and the EU team have done it for years.

GB "Well brexiteer's we now know the date when our total freedom from those unelected BUREAUCRATS IN BRUSSELS is to be."

Sorry but from the 29th onwards we will still be part of the EU. Even after triggering article 50, we still may not leave the EU.

Don't count your chickens yet.

Posted by: Stardelta (5797) Report abuse
Total freedom from the EU on the 29th??

Clueless, absolutely clueless

No one can give a date when we will leave the EU because no one knows how long the process is going to take or exactly what problems will need to be overcome.

One thing is for sure in that it wont be quick and the irony is that several in here may well be pushing up the daisies before all the arrangements are finalised and the ties can be severed.

It will be interesting to see how the financial markets now react, of course little things like that don't really matter do they, still plenty of room to go before the pound completely collapses and as far as exchange rates go the sky is the limit.

Hope non of you Brexiteers come in here and start moaning about rising food costs.

Posted by: baker boy (13735) Report abuse
you getting long in the tooth sad dog,i have a new inspiration, to live long enough to enjoy the divorce

Posted by: Stardelta (5797) Report abuse
And how will it improve the quality of your life?

Posted by: Anne (3071)  Report abuse
I more or less agree with star, it will be many, many years before the EU shackles are gone. Even though we would be officially divorced I am expecting there to be rough times ahead. I didn't vote simply because there were so many pros and cons, grey areas etc. to consider I couldn't decide which way to go.

Posted by: Tommy Two Stroke (1676) Report abuse
The population increase in the last 40 years as affected my quality of life, because the infrastructure of the country, including healthcare, as not kept up with the population increase, therefore I am in the queue with all the immigrants in this country, when I am sat in a traffic jam or am waiting for a hospital appointment and I know that not all the immigration as come from the EU but a large part of it as come from the EU

That is why immigration was the main topic of conversation during the referendum campaign, to get control back of our borders

I know that may sound selfish, but we can't have the millions of extra people living in this country, because the country just simply cannot cope with it

On about food price rises, did you know that the 1975 referendum was in part called because of public dissent at the way food prices had increased, when the UK joined the then EEC in 1973

The simple fact is that we and the EU need each other, so agreements will be reached

Nobody knows what will actually happen, except for the fact that the media will try to sensationalise every little snippet of information they receive about the brexit negotiations over the next two years, so prepare for crap by the bucket load about this for the next two years

Posted by: Anne (3071)  Report abuse
No one appears to take into account how medical science has had an effect on population growth. In our parents/grandparents time people at both ends of the age spectrum died whereas today they will survive and live longer. It all adds up.

Posted by: aussie94 (1562) Report abuse
Best of luck , you will need it . The world has moved on and you might get left behind . Hope not but fear you may finish up with the worst of all worlds.

Posted by: GOLDEN BEAR (2921)  Report abuse
Thank you all who have made comments,T.T.S I dont know how you do it but for me you are bang on correct in all you say. As for Anne, you say that we are all living longer. All i will state is there is NO point in living longer Anne if by having those extra years if you happen to be ill or not has much money to live on ,tell me whats the point??? We have to wait for hospital /doctors/ schools losing teachers /

Now as for all the pessimist's before we joined this rich mans club ,remember when De Gaul kept saying NON/NON/we dont want Britain well if you cast your minds back we traded with the EU NO PROBLEMS. Now it's all this and that . FOR CHRIST SAKE JUST GET ON WITH IT THESE BONE IDLE M.Ps. HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO , unless your name is OSBORNE !!!
All i ask too is for the people to just take an honest look at the trade deficit we have with this EU. In wigan speak, they are flooding us with their goods now, because its cheap to do so ,just like the KRAUTS have done to GREECE!. IT will be them who will lose out ,we will have lots of commonwealth countries to trade with without being fined by Brussels. SO stop whinging we got what we wanted so come Great Britain.

sad dog
i will be beyond the control of the faceless dictators from brussels.life will be so much sweeter.
at least with our mp's ,if you dont like them, every 5 years you can dump em on their backsides, you cannot do that with the likes of the dictator herr chancellor junkers.
now that guy is a fascist ,a real do has i say or face the consequences type.

Posted by: Stardelta (5797) Report abuse

TTS "That is why immigration was the main topic of conversation during the referendum campaign, to get control back of our borders"

Your another who has been duped into thinking that your Brexit vote will cease immigration.

You need to ask yourself. Why didn't the government slow/prevent immigration from outside the EU when they have control of it?

I predict that after Brexit immigration from the EU will fall, but immigration from outside will increase to fill demand and growth the country needs.

Simply put your Brexit vote will do nothing to immigration but let more "darkies" in. Farage will be pleased.

Posted by: roylew (2339) Report abuse
You can carry on like this for the rest of your life...just chill....que sera sera...

Posted by: broady (12542)   Report abuse
I predict yap yap. Anyone who follows your posts must notice that all you ever do is post contrary to what most people on here think except you wrap it in lots of words. You aren't even capable of debate. It is your way or no way.

Boardy living up to his nickname and once again chastising those who don't meet with his personal approval or standards I see.

Will someone please tell him, he isn't the centre of the universe and this forum doesn't revolve around him

I am sure Ena, sec8 and of course sledge will agree

Broady "You aren't even capable of debate."

You spend more time posting about me than making a post about the subject matter. How can I debate if your unable to reply to what I've typed.

Yourself, Jay and Baker Boy spend more time calling me names, rather than actually countering or disputing what I've typed.

Lets debate.

If migration was too high, why didn't the government slow/prevent immigration from outside the EU when they have control of it?

Will immigration really change after Brexit as some Brexiters voted believing that immigration would stop or even people be sent home?

Some clowns even thought that would happen after the vote. :D You'd think with all the research the Brexiters had done on making their decision. They would know the process in and out. Perhaps just out.
