Chuck Berry was a mystery to me. He wrote some of the great R&R standards, but left me cold. That said, his influence was far and wide.

Three times behind bars my morning paper says .
One for tax dodging .
One for robbery .
And for me the most damning one ,taking a 14 year old across state a state line for immoral purposes .
