You may well ask.... IIoT ??

The USA is littered with acronyms and this one came from a multi-billion dollar world wide company !

Very little imagination used as it works out...

Rockwell Automation....their latest contribution to the world...IIoT... the "Industrial Internet of Things"

There must be many more examples of world wide think tanks coming up with these gems. Lol

It does seem that IIoT bandwagon has collected a lot of large industrial company followers...like lambs to the slaughter.

It reminds me of other twee references like the one out of Apple "the cloud",
I'm sure there are many more adopted phrases.

I already have, in addition to various computers, a PVR, HIFI, Blu ray player, NAS, Ican, Media casting devices and TV all competing for internet connection. When the bed, the wardrobe and the fridge also demand internet connection, I think I shall go off-grid.
