John...

Started by: jarvo (30250)

When I read Cynthia Lennon's book, 'John', it changed my opinion on John Lennon.

I used to think he was cool, but in reality he was far from it.

The book came out a few years ago, but it is well worth a read.

I like Ringo best. And I think he's funny.

Long may he keep giving us the peace sign.

Ringo Starr's Solo Albums since the Beatles break up have been superb . I have all 18 of his Studio Albums , along with the 10 All Starr Albums and always enjoy listening to them . Sadly , his album releases generally go unnoticed in the media , but his music is up there with the best !

Ringo has become a superb Solo artist in his own right. He has brought out many great albums throughout the years. His last album contained a track called "Postcards from Paradise" (This was the Albums title) This track is so clever as it contains the titles of Beatles songs all the way through it, it really shows off Ringo's creativity as a musician. It has always bemused me, why as one of the Fab Four he is still yet to receive a Knighthood, as being the drummer you are a big part of a groups sound...Keep Rocking Ringo

I never was a fan of John. too full of himself by far. I thought George always came across as a nice guy.

I never liked John Lennon as a person, and agree with kathpressey that he was full of himself. I once read an account of him dancing about on some Victorian glass panels on a roof in a Blackpool Theatre, and the caretaker asked him to get down, both for his own safety and in fear of the original Victorian panels being broken and John told him to .... off. He thought he was untouchable. And can you imagine him agreeing to be the voice of Thomas the Tank Engine, giving much pleasure to little children? Ringo was superb.

I never liked him...and after reading about him leaving Cynthia running after
the train that he'd caught he went down even further in my books..she said
as she stood on the platform she knew that it was all over...
