PETITION

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

Have you seen all these people in Manchester/Liverpool/London all i want to know is just what do they think these meetings signing petitions will achieve ? What is happening in the United States of America has bugger all to do with us surely, also has these people given the slightest thought's about our trade deal's that will hopefully be the USA. What Will these same people do should we lose a huge trading ally ?
There is one thing one can say about the President and that is when he say's he is going to say he is going to do something well guess what he does it like it or not.. as for our Meely-mouthed politicians, i think we all know that what they say is as useless as wet toilet paper. So my view and mine only is leave the yanks alone we have enough on our plate....

Golden Bear I agree with what you say I bet Trump is meeting his advisors right now saying "They are demonstrating in London Manchester and other towns in the U.K. so I think I will revoke my last edict on immigration".

Fortunately we live in a country where we are allowed to protest. Long may that continue.

I think these saddo's have as a hobby demonstrating. I have never been on one in my life. I don't know if what Trump is doing is right or not but it is no surprise because he campaigned on that very theme and was elected President. I am a bit undecided with the Mo Farrah situation. He arrives in the U.K. as a refugee from Somalia and goes on to achieve greatness in Athletics. As soon as he is famous he does a runner ( excuse the pun) to the US to live and pay his taxes. Why not stay in the country that granted him refugee status and pay his taxes to the UK.?

Because he's free, or should he carry the burden of being a refugee for the rest of his life?

Why didn't you stay in the UK and pay your taxes or spend your riches here?

Exactly. He made his choice and so the rules of that country apply. I chose to leave but I didn't come as an immigrant. I can luckily come and go as I please. Just for the record I didn't broadcast any problems in the public domain so it was never discussed on there either. Why do you have to address me in a personal way when discussing matters in the public domain?

You asked a question. I answered it and saw some hypocrisy in it.

But you haven't answered my question as to why you get personal. Because you choose to use an assumed name and say nothing about yourself, which again is your choice, you choose to attack me on what I do reveal. A tad cowardly in my opinion. I can assure you I paid all my dues and demands to the UK when I lived there and I chose to move and forfeit anything on the NHS and never to get an increase on my OAP for the rest of my natural born.

I notice they don't demonstrate to get rid of the likes of the Muslim clerics such as choudry who spoil it for all the peaceful ones. The bloody country has gone soft

Broady "But you haven't answered my question as to why you get personal."

I did. I said I saw hypocrisy in what you said. It wasn't a personal attack, but a reply to your views. It's common knowledge on here that your an immigrant in Canada. I didn't feel i was revealing something private about you.

Your comment basically suggested that British citizens not born in the UK, should have some extra duty to the UK, that British born citizens like yourself, do not need to have.

Am I wrong in this being your view?

It is however honourable of you to leave the UK so you are not a burden on the NHS. I would though presume, you have taken your wealth which you accrued here with you and spend it in Canada.

Are you still undecided?

Maybe my comment has influenced you to not think down that path. Perhaps my comment may make you view Mo as a human being and British citizen with the same freedoms as yourself.

Yes I am. Mo exercised his right to live in a country of his choice. That country has now made a decision that is bad for him but it was made by the US government.

Hi there G.B. HERE: Seeing as i started the thread i would just like to intervene i thought that BROADY was correct with his opinions, also, i do not believe for one second that Broady is an hypocrite that is one thing he is not . I for one was ignorant to MO's details now i do i am in the same pinion as broady. He does state he is undecided that is plain to see. SECTION 8 .(" If you dont mind it is you who sounds a bit miffed by your remark about him leaving and taking his riches with him ") The trouble with this country is that they always want to be seen as goody -goodies , when the real facts are staring them in their faces,,,, We just cannot keep accepting all the worlds problems by allowing entry to every tom ,dick, and harry ! I am not a very clever person but realise that our geographical size , our economy, our N.H.S. our OLD age people the world's global problems we should just stand up and say " ENOUGH IS ENOUGH " And all this relates to TRUMP HE TOLD ALL AND SUNDRY ON THE POLITICAL TRAIL EXACTLY ,IF ELECTED WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO ,IN MY BOOK HE GETS 10/10 FOR HONESTY/TRUTH/ AS FOR OUR M.P.s ALAS THEY MUST HAVE BEEN BORN MINUS SPINE/GUTS /FINALLY NO HEART NOW ALL SHAKE HANDS HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

I agree with Broady. I think Mo Farrah's comments about him being an alien were over the top. He seems to be jumping on the celebrity bandwagon.

Now GB and Henry have commented I'm even more befuddled. I will have to shake hands before more wires get crossed.
