Not bad so far is it about us leaving the corrupt EU. We just take a breath and look what's happened and article 50 has been given to them yet.
First we had the NZ P.M. wanting a trade agreement with us
Then Australia , U.S.A., and next is Turkey signing a deal on trade to buy and supply fighter jets £100 million deal it is just going along great next is India ,China, Russia and then you had all those mealy mouthed wanting us to stay shackled to EU and saying we wont be able to trade with anyone well this is a right kick up their asse's keep on rolling .

I agree with what you say and we have something which as not had a mention yet and that is that we have the British Commonwealth and so all those countries in the Commonwealth, will be wanting to have free trade deals with us, because at the moment we can only trade with them as an EU country and as such, we are subject to all EU import and export rules, which govern trade with none EU countries

Not everyone remembers "Great Britain" we got along fine before the EU and will get along fine Post EU .
Just wish more of the politicians would get behind the peoples vote , not all of them but some seem to scaremonger to make it sound like doom and gloom .

I think it will be a long time before the UK reaches anything like pre EU days. At that time the UK had a much more diverse and broader manufacturing base, today much of our earnings are service/financial based which can easily be moved/located anywhere in the world. Also ex empire countries can and are trading with whom they want to. New trade agreements will take years to thrash out. Remember we are still in the EU for two more years.

Hi Anne, I apologise if i have come across boasting but i do understand that things will get better straight away that would be boasting too much it will be hard i'm not expecting a cake walk ,having said that though i am confident. What really upset's me is all these M.P.s. who are not getting behind what the British public voted for .

As for it taking 2 years well i would presume that the rules that will be being abolished we should be seeing changes well before the end of the 2 years.

It all sounds like possible jam tomorrow to me. What about today, and the foreseeable future, not much jam there either as far as I can see. And what about the elephant in the room! What most people who voted out wanted. The ever open door is still open! I want what I voted for, and please don't tell me not to be naïve, and that these things take time. Time for more jam tomorrow again. They don't even want to talk about it now. People voted for jam, not more soft soap.

Can someone please explain to me why there has to be a Trade Agreement to deal with other countries? It probably never happened years ago-businesses have dealt with other businesses for ages! If a business here wishes to trade with a business in another country why should it need a Government Trade Deal?
Is it just to keep bureaucrats in jobs?

Baker.... I didn't vote at all. Admittedly I was at one time veering that way but when it came to the crunch I found looking at it both ways I was between two stools. So much to consider I blew it
Edit. and I'm still not sure which way I would go.

Fedup.

Did you mean a free trade agreement?
A company can trade with another without a trade agreement, except for goods such as armaments that require export licences, but will have to pay tariffs and duties.
A free trade agreement allows trade free of tariffs and duties.

The EU free trade agreement allows trade free of tariffs and duties ....... but doesn't, and cannot, work for everybody.
The free trade agreement is useless to UK business.

Hi there ( FED UP) You have hit the bulls eye! This is what is all about as you say pre e.u. there was no such nonsense
of trade this and that ,if your stuff was good well made and reasoanable price that was it.
When i say you hit it on the head : The E.U. is all about keeping them self-centered greedy specimens of a human or as you put it bureaucrats nice and cosy in Brussels getting so much money .perks,travelling/in fact it all.
