I've never considered myself as xenophobic, but if much more of this sort of thing catches on, I could be persuaded!.

Isn't it one of those things that you play a tune on with a little hammer? I had one when I was little. Rolf Harris invented an electric one, but I couldn't have one because batteries were too dear. I couldn't have a Raleigh Chopper either. Times were hard.

It's called globalization and rationalization,it's been creeping up for years now.Outsourcing is yet another symptom, all in the name of the bottom line. How often do you read where a company has made record profits and how do they reward those people who helped them to achieve this wealth?,they offer them redundancy or take their operations offshore in order to make an even bigger profit. The Australian government introduced new industrial laws this year which it claimed would make life for average worker much better, but there are catches and conditions, like signing up to an Australin Workplace Award which in many cases gives the employee an increase in pay but loss of terms and protection of employment.
