Mick the Company who ordered the turf had a delivery on a Friday & didn't intend to lay it till Tuesday by which time it had turned brown so they ordered more (good for me) and they needed to dispose of the wasted turf so obviously not got round to it

Well done Nanajacqui.
They will have done their research about where to find the best quality turf available. You can see that a lot of time and money has been spent on the restaurant so why would they skimp on the turf.

As for Baasil. Not only does he have a yellow streak in his pelt he also harbours the green eyed monster

""I have just priced up a meal, a starter, steak & chips, dessert, bottle of wine and a few other odds and sods, so nothing fancy and with a few extra drinks on top of the meal I won't have any change left out of £100"

Pretty expensive that"

The price of the meal was just over £70 but with tipping, buying more drinks etc, it's going to be a £100 isn't it

Wrong again, backtrack jathbee, the difference between me and you lot is, I don't go around in a gang attacking decent posters and spoiling threads and getting nasty and personal, and coming the big I am, so I've no reason to hide behind a keyboard

Grass is a hardy plant and it soon recovers with a bit of rain, but I suppose that is with a proper root system in place, fresh turf will need additional water, to make up for the lack of a root system

Grass is a weed. It will always grow back.
Even when dogs pee on it.
It should be cheap as chips. People are killing weeds, yet pay silly money for one, grass
Get some of that fake stuff. It looks a lot better and its maintenance free and will last for years
A lot of sports clubs are using it so it must be ok.

Replied: 16th Jul 2019 at 17:14

A weed is a plant considered undesirable in a particular situation, "a plant in the wrong place"

Grass is a weed if it is growing in the veg plot. Not a weed if part of a lawn or turfed area, or anywhere where it is deliberately being cultivated.

Our cereal crops are but cultivated stains of what once had been wild grasses.

A nice two course lunch for 12.50. The prices are consistent with restaurants of that ilk. I would certainly give it a whirl.
