Landgate Planning Conditions

Started by: John59 (456)

I see it's official then, developers can do what they damn well like even though they have planning conditions imposed on them.
As the desecration of the fields off Rose Hill proves.

1. Must leave area of archaeological interest cordoned off for set period - so they agree the area to be left and then .... they send diggers into it and scrape off the top of the roman road before the archaeologists can discover and record fully 2000 yr old heritage

2. they ignore a number of conditions (which are supposed to be satidìsfied BEFORE the ystart work - and start work.

3. Surveyor's seen on Bryn Rec. this week. Nw that's interesting because the outline planning permission was givn ON CONDITION that the plans to build on the rec. were removed . It is afterall bequeathed to the peeps of Ashton-in-Mkerfield. Yet they are still planning to bulldoze that white efalump of a 'relief' (sic) road intended to serve the 3-sisters Indìustrial Estate, which will then return via Ashton Centre.
Another condition blatantly ignored.

And what do the clowncil do ? Apply sanctions (big fines) ? pull the planning permission ? .... why no, they firmly and menacingly declare ........ you go ahead at your own risk.

It's a joke it really is.

Why do you have a problem with them building on bryn rec, the original plans included provision of THREE new football pitches plus changing rooms, surely this is better than the current 2 pitches of bryn rec that are in a poor uneven condition and full of dog do. 3 brand new pitches plus changing rooms versus 2 poor condition pitches with no changing facilities = NO BRAINER

Steve Jones

Bryn Rec.

Following on from the earlier post regarding the surveying on Bryn rec the council have confirmed today that this was done by one of the landowners who own the wooded area. This was being done for the through road which will lead to Wigan Road. The land is privately owned with no deal yet to be made regarding the sale to the developers. If the land is not sold The Council are stating under no circumstances will the road go through Bryn Rec. However the full 450 houses will not be able to be built unless there is a road. My belief is that the land owner is for selling the land but that is only speculation. Although this is positive regarding Bryn Rec I believe we need to keep a close eye on the situation. Please send me any questions you want answering to Stephen.jones@wigan.gov.uk

As soon as you clap eyes on a couple of guys in hi vis vests using a theodolite you can garuantee that houses or a road will soon be built, no matter where it is

Chin up Brainless, you should count your blessings. Let's face it, if the Tories were in there would be even less opposition to central government policy.

Not that I doubt the scenario has ever occurred to a mind as sharp as yours

No affordable houses.

No 106 money.

These were two conditions at the first application.

Now the council informed me that there is not enough money, to implement these conditions

unlike yourself, who your parents fitted you with political blinkers when you where born,i can find good and bad in all political doctrines.
the problem with the current majority opposition party is they have so very, very few good ideas.
lets face it, after soaking the rich in a tax minefield, thats the end of story.the rich whoever they may be, which probably includes many opposition mp,s and those free loaders from the upper house.
they the "rich" take a caning from jeremy and pay for everthing, ludicrous or a very good idea sd.

opposition from central government by whom, the ruling party within WMBC.
my god your a bigger bigot and blinkered fool than i imagined.
smiffy does not oppose much of anything from central govt, why should he, anything that blows up in his face is most certainly blamed on lack of funds from the treasury or the tories forcing him to carry out their silly plans for the borough.
smiffy his always cast has pontius pilot washing his hands from any wrongdoing or worse council blundering.
maybe SD if jeremy was in power, WIGAN BOROUGH would be a utopia, awash with funding from those despicable rich folk,s taxes.
are you sure your not the brain dead one.
smiffy loves this govt ,far more than you can imagine, the perfect scapegoats for any folly from millgate. .

Transformer Mon, what Mr.Kipling said, up there ↑↑↑ is correct!
Like I said earlier, "Not even tories could be more faithful to Wigan council than the present bunch of brown-nosed 'yes men'! (and women!!)"

As it stands, Smiffy wasn't the leader of 'the council'. Donna Hall is the leader of the council. Smiffy was the leader of 'the councillors'. And 'the councillors' are not the council!

mizz hall worked for smiffy not the other way around. if smiffy said she,s going it would be a done deal.
admittedly after the last encumbent, smiffy said it could not afford another chief exec as costly as the previous chief exec, nonetheless, he i repeat he, hired another one.
chief exec, brain behind the organisation .developing new ideas to make the borough go forward or a signature on unread papers.

Smiffy works for 'the people' of Leigh West Ward, against the government.

In theory, Smiffy and Donna Hall were in opposition.

On the same basis if we give Brainless enough time he will one day say something remotely amusing.

Mind you, not as funny as Look Northwest tonight, councils in greater Manchester are promoting the planting of trees and creating green spaces to promote healthier living. How does WMBC keep such a low profile when it is doing the exact opposite? But I suppose if dodgy donna could keep herself out of the national media they can get away with anything.

An update - even worse than not clobbering these developers when they don't satisfy conditions is that (and I've been told this independently by 2 people at the council - if they do go to court, and win, then the fines money doesn't come back to the council !!!
