this chap wants old people to pay through extra taxes, so that we can provide the young with some cash.
with respect me lord i do already ,the ones i support are called grandchildren and i will be blowed if i,m paying for any one elses off spring.
does any one think like myself that shutting down the house of lords could go a very long way towards these costs.

Shut the house of lords not one of them were elected by the people this is part of the reason we want out of europe because the MEP's were not elected by us but dictate to us

The House of Lords is an absolute disgrace. They get £300 each a day to attend. That could go to the NHS.

Sign the petition to abolish the house of lords. I think it is on the gov.uk petitions site.

I agree, their lordships house should go, but we do need a replacement for them, elected?

i paid tax when I worked; I'm paying tax again on my pension and paying tax again because i saved some. I'm certainly not paying more tax to give it to young people. Yes boot them all out!

Totally agree, baker boy. The House of Lords is an unelected club that's well past its sell-by date. Why should these pampered buffoons thwart [or try to thwart] the will of the people? I've signed the petition on-line. The House of Lords is like dog muck on your shoe - stinks but hard to get rid of.
