I imagine there's a lot of bad language? That is not a criticism, just a question.

Irene,
It is a while since I watched it but I don't remember there being excessive bad language. I think gritty would best describe it. It is real life and desperate times for the central characters.

Home Office not the only government department which fostered a 'hostile environment' for the people with whom it deals.

Speaking of films,we watched one he other night titled "Ethel and Ernest "
and it's brilliant..it's all about Raymond Briggs and his parents from start to
finish..Id never heard of him..he wrote the book"The Snowman" and was
the cartoonist for the film of "Snowman"...it's so good Hubby sent for the
DVD..and we've watched it again..tts animated and the best you'll ever see.
There's so much to it,it's absolutely brilliant.there's so much in it it's hard to
explain..I can't praise it enough.
