What Brexit / Europe means to me.

Started by: Dave xl5 (477)

What Europe should have been to me;
An open market to all members, where they could have argued over the shape of bananas, or colour and size of eggs. I don't care about that, it would have given them something to do. The rest should have been left to the member governments. Movement of people, support for industries etc. In short, the market and nothing else. Now it's all falling apart, and all the bullying and threatening, won't keep it together. Sadly the nationalist will win in the end. And then if you're not careful you end up with a Trump!

It's ok, Dave. They will be happy as they like Trump and would welcome a leader like him.

It is rather interesting to learn that Peugeot is going to buy Vauxhall.

So why is Peugeot buying Vauxhall?

Why not long after the brexit vote, did France clear the jungle camp in Calais.

Is it because the French want to keep ties to Britain open after we leave the EU?

Surely if brexit was going to be such a bad thing, Peugeot and Nissan would be pulling out of Britain, not investing in Britain.

You can have politicians coming out with hot air about brexit, but actions speak louder than words and on about car production, Nissan and Peugeot are actually doing something about it and they are dooing good, they are investing in Britain

I wonder if that deep down, the French would rather be with us, they would rather be aligned with the British, rather than the Germans, because historically Germany is a bad un in Europe, because they want to be 'King of the Castle' and another name for the EU could be to call it 'Greater Germany

"Have you actually asked any Americans, those people that voted him in, their opinions."

Just like a lot of embarrassed Brexiters who now know what they actually voted for post referendum, Trump voters will put the blinkers on and ignore the negatives and how idiotic he looks.

It's human nature to not admit to making a mistake.

I think most people who voted to leave including myself want our country to be run by US not some un-elected overpaid faceless politician sat in Brussels or any other city they think they can veto from.If we are not satisfied with our elected politicians then we can vote them out.Again all overseas aid should be stopped and the money spent over here,We are into 2017 and we have homeless people and others reliant on FOOD BANKS this used to happen in the late 1800 early 1900 and should not be happening over here are we heading for a 3rd world country. Again immigration should be sorted out and undesirables removed back to their own country non of this its a breach of their human rights or they have married a british person if they commit a crime don't even jail them over here send them home and let their own country jail them.

Why would our Lord wish to give paradise to the people who put the gun into the hands of the killer. If he is not happy with his creation he can remove it from history at anytime. He doesn't need any person on earth to come up with any kind elaborate plan of world events to do it for him. They should know that not everyone in the world is a bad person, and I'm sure God's not a video game player.

I cannot remember what the Government Whips told the sheep to vote for or if it was a free vote. Can you? If the Whips were out in force they followed Blair's instructions so in effect it was Blair who authorized the war.

Blair brow beat his party into voting for the Iraq war, there was a lot of MP's who did not want that war and he got his vote by producing the dodgy dossier about WMD's capable of being deployed in minutes.

The closest I ever came to voting for Labour, was in 1997 when Tony Blair seemed to tick all of the boxes required, because after years of being in power, the Conservatives had become stale and John Major was a weak leader, but history as shown him to be a decent sort of bloke, but on polling day in 1997 in the voting booth I couldn't do it and I voted for a looney instead, if there is no official monster raving looney candidate, I vote for the candidate who I think is closest to being a looney, because you always have a few crack pots standing in general elections, as well as the main political party candidates.

But for me history as shown that Tony Blair was a good leader, but definitely not a decent man, the exact opposite of John Major.

Tony Blair and George Bush were war mongers, who both had some religious notion that they were doing good, by ridding the world of bad dictators, John Prescott who was Tony Blair's deputy PM said that Tony Blair wanted to go round the world invading everybody.

Trump is a disgrace and has the mentality of a spoiled child. All but one of the 52 made up people agree with me.

I never liked Tony Blair and I never voted for him. It was obvious he was smarmy and a phoney, just very good at giving speeches and persuading people to his way of thinking.

As for Trump, he is straight talking, tells it like it is. He isn't articulate like other politicians and just says what he thinks. Time will tell whether he will be a great president or a terrible one. I like what he is doing so far and definitely prefer him over Clinton.
