Our current routine is, stay in all morning to do cleaning etc.
A light lunch, then about 2-30 pm a local walk in the fresh air for about 45 minutes.
If we see people walking towards us we either walk into the middle of the road or walk to the opposite pavement.
I have to say people are observing these new rules very well.
Back home, then oull up the drawbridge and stay in the house all night.
No holidays planned as yet, we'll see how the year pans out.
It’s going to be a long Summer!!!!!!!, but we’ll get through it.

I don't go on the street at all but if everyone walks down on the left same as the traffic then no need to pass & swap sides

They say "a third of UK confirmed Choronavirus cases are in London".

Yet London has NONE!

It wasn't meant to be funny, so why are you laughing, gravy?

My statement was aimed at blackrodweaver, who "wouldn't mind knowing from which districts in Wigan the unfortunate people with the virus are from".

They refer to the figure of 39 as being cases in 'Wigan'. However, Wigan, like London, may have none.
Bolton has 42 confirmed cases, although there may be none in Blackrod, although it's Bolton. But there might be 20 of Wigan's cases in Aspull, which is right next to Blackrodweaver! Or Hindley, 200 yards from Raymyjamie, who's also in Bolton!

That is why they should refer to the actual town / district / village rather than the large administration area.

The survival rate for the virus is 98.2%, yet the media only present the negatives and spread fear. I wonder why this is?

Latest Public Health England figures show that those in the borough now having tested positive for the virus shot up by 24 - from 67 to 91 - between Wednesday and Thursday this week.

The previous 24 hours had seen the number rise by only two cases.

The point is Basil if you don't observe the 2 metre rule, then you can be infected and infect others.

You saying that you can't be bothered, is tantamount to a whole lot of trouble being caused by YOU.

Unfortunately, in my recent experience, younger people (in the main) seem to think social distancing doesn't apply to them.

During two recent visits to a supermarket and shop, plus on our daily walk, I have had to politely ask people to keep their distance on a number of occasions. Every time they are people in their teens/twenties who don't seem to care and think it's a joke. I know we all thought we would live forever when we were young but I would have thought the message would have got across by now.

Don't get me wrong there have been youngsters who have acted responsibly but they have been the minority. Older fogeys like myself with whom I have discussed this have had the same experiences.

There are reports that hospitals are not overrun with Covid patients and that the figures have been exaggerated, then we have videos of nurses and doctors dancing and singing as if they've got nothing else better to do. People seem to be coming down with something but I don't think it's a virus. Does anyone ever do any critical thinking and independent research other than what they read in the newspapers or on TV?

Most people will never have heard of this which took place on the 18th October 2019 in New York. No mention of it in the media, surprise surprise:

why is it that everyone who reports on conspiracies never has a scientific background? and why is it that everybody that writes reports on conspiracy theories seems to have a degree on a different subject than the one they are talking about. I truly believe there are people out there walking around with silver paper hats

Now that's true.

CHap died of lung cancer. cause of death-coronavirus. When the chap's son questioned this as the chapo wasn't suffering any symptoms, he was told, because he wasn't tested, the cause of death has to be recorded as coronavirus linked.

It's all bulls**t
