Sunshine House have a pantry open 10am - 2pm, Monday - Friday. (From 11th Apr)
Bags with a selection of food are £1 and there may be other items to buy too.

They also have a meal order system, for collection or delivery to certain locations.

Wigan Council have set up a dedicated helpline for residents in self-isolation who do not have the support of family or friends, and need help.

Please call 01942 489018 or complete a self-referral form: Link

Wigan Council News (27 Mar):

Seven Community Hubs to Support Vunerable Residents
Including providing food parcels and delivering vital medical supplies.

• Wigan town centre
• Leigh town centre
• Worsley Hall
• Atherton
• Ashton
• Hindley
• Shevington

Key workers & community groups will operate the hubs, & local residents can volunteer too.

Unpaid carers’ blue card registration - www.wlcccarers.com



Please note these cards do not entitle you to purchase extra food provisions. They identify you as an unpaid carer. W&L Carers Centre are working to get supermarkets to recognise and potentially allow access during “restricted hours” (Tweet)

My Life Charity are helping the community in a number of ways: www.my-life.org.uk

The Standish Café is closed but offers a local hamper delivery service at reasonable prices.

Food delivery database is live!

The new database lists local businesses offering delivery services to nearby households.
Avoid long waits for supermarket delivery slots & support local businesses.

NHS staff can now refer vulnerable people for support from NHS Volunteer Responders for:
• medicine and grocery deliveries
• lifts to appointments
• check in and chat telephone support
