The lady next door says the football should be on one channel so it doesn't upset her soaps

I don't why the wags are going, it's a football tournament not a shopping trip.

Over in Spain you can't escape futbol.

Any bar will have one telly, and it'll have futbol on it all the time.
If you go in a middle-of-the-road bar/restaurant it might have two tellies and they'll both have futbol on all the time.
If you try to buy your way out of it, by going in an upmarket restaurant, it'll have two or three tellies and they'll all have futbol on at the same time!

The laughable thing is, if a place is empty, when they see you coming they'll switch futbol on because they think you like it!

Aaaaaaaargh!!!!!!

We could opt-out. And opt-out I did! I would rather help the caretaker than play that daft game!!

Would rather listen to a fishing match on the radio.

When the final is on I make a special effort to mow the lawn, whatever the weather.

Jarvo in my youth I loved to watch Sunday league teams (village club/blue bell)and would stand on the touch line in all types of weather Today you could not pay me to watch the over paid footballers of today At dinner time today was in a chippy at Arnside and one bloke was trying to get the football on one of three telly's in the chippy. He failed but I commented that people come to Arnside for the scenery not to watch football in a chippy

Can't imagine going through childhood without playing football for hours.
