What a bloomer

I was invited to s Banquet by the BBC to london the other evening Black tie and evening dress and there was about 200 people there on our taable there was about 6 of us all much younger than me , very posh do next to me at the table of 6 there was a young lady connected to the BBC and had her own programme etc I didnt know this st the time we were talking and one course came first was a large wooden box ou then took the lid off and underneath was a Black china hand holing what looked like moss off a tree in the midst of this ornate decoration were tiny peices of looked ike Raw fish I ate some and leaned to the lady and said well if this is what they pay huge sums for in a high class restaurant in London etc give me fish and chips any time and the six people around the table roared with laughter and pointed behind me and there was a Camera crewww recording everything and roaring with laughter including around the table unknown to me I had spoken to a well known lady chef and she also had her own restaurant, I could have sunk through the floor but I was told and saw the camera crew in absolutle stitches . she never passedany remark and continued to talk to me ,I just felt like sinking under the table . We had also in one course Goat meat ugh tough as old boots .Never mind I had a wonderful night and the BBC looked after me very well

I have heard it is being shown sometime this next month will let you know f I find out in advance .The Invite staed BLACK TYE well that means to me men must be dressed-Dinner suit or tails well all the 2549 women were in BLACK and yours truly CREAM I should have thought the woman of that age would know OR they had all been in dress shops and been told OH MADAM Black is always suitable because evry one of them was in black so if you do see it look for the one in Cream with a turban (had the shingles on my head and face and had lost my hair bye
