The Way We Were Exhibits
I seem to recall that the exhibits from The Way We Were museum were auctioned to raise money for the WLCT, but I can't find any information on this, does anyone know if the exhibits were actually sent to an auction and when/where, any information would be appreciated, thank you.

Interesting point.
The jockey scales have been mentioned several times on here.
I thought stuff was supposed to be in storage somewhere.

I've found this news story about it, before the event though, Ayrefield, not sure it's of use.

That must be what I recalled reading about, cheers jo anne, though I'm sure I was told that the scales dustaf mentions went to auction, maybe someone got it wrong and saw a similar weighing scale at an auction.

One for Councillor Gareth, perhaps.
Wasn't there a scandal of sorts around twenty years ago involving stuff in storage.
A steam engine/roller comes to mind.

The place where all the precious artifacts, which have been 'plundered' from the ockupied Towns of Atherton, Tyldesley, Leigh etc is a closely guarded secret and only a few trusted council employees, know the location of the massive underground vault, which holds all the booty ...
