Wigan Boys Club was in Clayton Street, The Comet Club was behind the petrol station (now Circular Garage) Poolstock

sorry to correct you but the Comet youth club was in clayton st before moving to poolstock as I was a member at both locations I am not sure but I think the man who run it was Derek Monks !!!!!

Hi there, I'm the Communications Manager for the new Wigan Youth Zone. I'm currently putting together a brochure of our facilities, our values and our history. One of our founder patrons Dave Whelan says he owes much of his success to the old Boys Club and it has played a large part in the design of the new facility.
